Today we congratulate the people of China and the leadership on the occasion of the 71st Anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China(PRC).
The anniversary comes at a challenging time not only for China but the whole world due to the challenges caused by the outbreak of the COVID-19. Although China was the first country to experience the pandemic, the measure put in place by the leadership and the medical professionals have become a world model of success in preventing the spread of the virus and many lives have been saved. The Chinese leadership put the lives of the people first in controlling the COVID-19 outbreak, while the people’s participation is also commendable.
It is also important to note that as many countries all over the world were busy with domestic challenges of COVID-19 infections, China stood out as the only country that provided support to several countries by providing medical material and professionals to help in the fight against the COVID-19 crisis. China is therefore celebrating the 71st Anniversary with accolades as the leading country in the global health crisis facing the world.
The 71st Anniversary has also come at a time when China is winning the war against absolute poverty. Millions of people have been lifted out of poverty and the country is steadily progressing towards a prosperous nation in all aspects.
China has pursued the path of peaceful development and advocates for multilateralism, good diplomatic relations and cooperation with other nations. President Xi Jinping has specifically emphasized China’s vision of building a world community with a shared future for mankind. In this direction, it is also important to note that the China Belt and Road Initiative is an avenue to strengthen multilateral relations and sharing development opportunities for the betterment of humanity.
As China celebrates its 71st Anniversary, the achievements the country has realized in such a short time are miraculous in terms of social, political and economic development as well as science and technology. Socialism with Chinese characteristics has proved to be a model that has propelled China to greater heights towards realizing the dream of national rejuvenation.
