We are very delighted to wish all our esteemed readers a Happy and Prosperous New Year. African China Review values very much your support and feedback regarding of our commitment to give you relevant and well researched news and opinions regarding Africa and China. We strive to be a reliable source of news on the development in Africa as well as China. African and Chinese people have a lot in common regarding history, culture, world view on various aspects and cooperation with other countries.

China and Africa have walked a long journey of friendship both in difficult and in good times. The choice to continue this journey of brotherhood should inevitably be a permanent choice as the saying goes that a friend in need is a friend indeed.

We are delighted to note that the year 2023 begins, in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital a state of the art building, the China-aided future headquarters of the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) is nearing completion and expected to transform public health in Africa. The CDC headquarters project has been part of China’s continued efforts in support of institutional strengthening of the Africa CDC.

There are many more other projects under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and Forum for Africa-China Cooperation (FOCAC) that were completed which are changing the land scape of Africa both economically and physically.

China and Africa have walked the talk of win-win cooperation with a shared goal for the people of Africa and China to live better lives. The global view of cooperation should be focused on building peaceful world, working together to overcome challenges and creating a community with a shared future for mankind. This is will be the greatest legacy to the future generations.  

In the year 2023, we will continue to be at your service by availing to you news and views as well as bridging the information gap between China and Africa that is normally created by external sources. We shall continue to strive to for a better China African cooperation in all available avenues including but not limited to, diplomatic, cultural, trade, education and people to people engagements.
