I was honoured to attend and witnessed the historic meeting. I was filled with emotion when I saw world leaders one by one congratulating the CPC for the hard earned achievements in the last 100 years! The CPC has miraculously moved China from a poor country to a moderately prosperous society in one generation setting a global record in the history of human development. For developing countries, the summit was an opportunity to reflect on China’s path as an inspirationto their development trajectory without necessarily copying the China model but borrowing best practices that are applicable in their countries. Participants hailed China’s Belt and Road initiative(BRI) pledging cooperation and active participation and also called for  partnership and supporting each other in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic and response to global challenges.
