US and UK Intelligence chiefs’ threats won’t stop the rise of China.

In a rare meeting on Wednesday, July 6, that took place at British Intelligence (MI5) headquarters at Thames House, London, the US and UK intelligence chiefs held a joint meeting in which China was their main subject of discussion.  The US FBI director Christopher Wray, warned that if China was to forcibly take Taiwan it would “represent one of the most horrific business disruptions the world has ever seen.”  He also added China was the “biggest long-term threat to US economic and national security and claiming that China had interfered in US politics, and elections.

The statement is evidence that the US administration has consistently used double language on the issue of China’s “one country two systems principle. On one hand, the US says that it recognizes that Taiwan belongs to China and on the other hand behaves as if Taiwan is an independent state from China. One wonders how China would “forcibly” take its own territory. It is no surprise though because the world knows that US and its allies have a sinister agenda of supporting Taiwan separatists to sabotage the development of China.

Ken McCallum the head of MI5, said his service had more than doubled its work against Chinese activity in the last three years and would be doubling it again. He revealed that, “MI5 is now running seven times as many investigations related to activities of the Chinese Communist Party compared to 2018.”

The Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Zhao Lijian, responded by saying that   British intelligence was trying to “hype up the China threat theory” and he advised the head of MI5 to “cast away imagined demons.” Zhao further said that the FBI Director had also been “playing up the China threat to smear and attack China” revealing a “Cold War mentality” and urged him to stop making “irresponsible” remarks.

McCallum also said the challenge posed by the Chinese Communist Party was “game-changing”, while Wray called it “immense” and “breath-taking.” Political analysts believe that the meeting is an indication how the western world is worried about the rise of China which is threatening their hegemony, and are now devising all means possible to pull China down.

By pointing accusing figures at China as involved in cyber espionage is an accusation in the mirror of what exactly western countries especially US and UK do to other countries. For example, in 2015, an  internal investigation in the Danish Defence Intelligence Service into NSA’s role in the partnership with Denmark, it was found out that the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) used a partnership with Denmark’s foreign intelligence unit to spy on senior officials of neighboring countries.

The investigation, which covered the period from 2012 to 2014, the NSA used Danish information cables to spy on senior officials in Sweden, Norway, France and Germany, including former German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and former German opposition leader Peer Steinbrück. US intelligence officials declined to make any comment when asked about the scandal.  It is therefore common knowledge that the west accuses other countries the very crimes they commit themselves. They know how to play Mr. Right, while other countries are viewed as Mr. Wrong. This is the typical western hypocrisy.

Michael Vatikiotis an American journalist and author, in an opinion article published in Nikkei Asia on January 16, 2021, titled, “Asia’s rise and the steady decline of the west”, says that, “not only have the United States and Europe lost economic ground to Asia, in terms of volumes of trade, investment and growth, but the capacity to guide and influence political developments, serve as a moral yardstick and ultimately use military power to influence events has been severely eroded.” The revelation by Micheal, tells all about the rare meeting of FBI and M15 chiefs. Plotting for the downfall of China, which has assumed the position of the second largest economy in the world, and currently out competing the west in a number of technological and Artificial Intelligence concepts.
