We are very delighted to wish all our esteemed readers a Happy and Prosperous New Year. African China Review values very much your support and feedback regarding of our commitment to give you relevant and well researched news and opinions regarding Africa and China. We strive to be a reliable sources of news on the development in Africa as well as China. African and Chinese people have a lot in common regarding history, culture, world view on various aspects and cooperation with other countries.

China and Africa have walked a long journey of friendship both in difficult and in good times. The choice to continue this journey of brotherhood should inevitably be a permanent choice as the saying goes that a friend in need is a friend indeed.

The year 2020 has not been an easy one to go through especially with the prevailing global Coronavirus pandemic that has so far claimed millions of lives, disrupted businesses and almost brought the world at a standstill.  China and Africa stood together and shared knowledge and logistics required to protect their citizens against the spread of the virus.

There is one lesson learnt from the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. The virus affected all classes of people the rich and the poor. It affected rich and poor nations in equal measure. No one country is able to fight the virus alone and win. The war against the COVID-19 will be won when all world countries put together their efforts rather than acting individually.

China and Africa have walked the talk of a win-win cooperation rather than exploitation. The goal is for the people of Africa and China to live better lives. The global view of cooperation should be focused on building a peaceful society, working together to overcome challenges and creating a world with a shared future for humanity. This is will be the greatest legacy to the future generations.  

In the year 2021, we will continue to be at your service by availing to you news and views as well as bridging the information gap between China and Africa that is normally created by external sources. We shall continue to strive to for a better China African cooperation in all available avenues including but not limited to, diplomatic, cultural, trade, education and people to people engagements.
