Over the past years, China has achieved moderate prosperity through persistent hard work and has resolved the problem of absolute poverty in China. According to the Report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, in 2022, a total of 832 impoverished counties and close to 100 million poor rural residents have been lifted out of poverty, and among them, more than 9.6 million poverty-stricken people have been relocated from inhospitable areas.
On April 23, China held Laoshan International Tea Festival in Malipo County, a county well-known for its tea industry and super tea products in southwest China’s Yunnan Province. Chinese Foreign Ministry Assistant Minister and Spokesperson Hua Chunyingsaid that the year 2023 is a crucial time to advance rural revitalization across the board.
Chinese Foreign Ministry has been helping MalipoCounty to achieve better development and to improve local people’s living standards since 1992. Now, its tea products are popular with the public for its high quality and fragrance. Recently, China sent the tea produced in Malipo County to the UN Security Council delegates as a precious and unique gift, and received widely praises.
